I think one vital piece of information and that’s, CONVERSIONS. You could have the best looking keyword in the world but if
it doesn’t convert, you have just wasted a lot of time and effort for nothing, PPC is the best keyword research tool you could have where you can see conversions rate as well, another way is another Google tool, Google Analytics

In my point of view when it comes to traffic I will go for social buzz, but when it comes to keyword rankings and page rank, I will go for backlinks.

I would personally want to recommend concentrating your efforts on getting links to the homepage of the domains.The 100-200 or so extra pages you will get won't help with rankings much in my opinion. Finally backlinks are key.

I don't think that this company will follow all of this checklist. If yes, they cost you a lot of money in your pocket. I prefer hiring a freelance provider than companies like this.

All the SEO in the world won’t do you much good if you aren’t doing it for the right keywords. If you do SEO for a keyword that people aren’t searching for, then this keyword isn’t going to give you much traffic. Conversely, there are quite a few popular keywords with little competition.
Looking for a good introduction to SEO guideline that an economical SEO firm can follow. It was written by google, and it's really good.
